You may be aware that there is currently a measles outbreak in Surrey and Sussex. Measles is an illness that can lead to more serious complications such as pneumonia and encephalitis.

Our additional measles clinics have now finished, but you can book a measles vaccination appointment by contacting reception.

Chicken Pox

There is a lot of chicken pox in the area at the moment.  If your child has chicken pox you do not normally need to see a doctor - the disease will run its course.

Click here for help to check if it is chicken pox and for information on when a GP appointment is appropriate.

Doctor’s appointments may be made by telephoning the surgery on 01276 20101. Routine appointments may be made six weeks in advance, which will enable us to offer you a slot at a time more suitable to your requirements.

In addition to routine appointments, we also offer urgent on the day appointments for medically urgent matters,

If you urgently need to see a doctor and no appointment is available, you will be offered an initial telephone consultation with a doctor and they can then arrange to see you if necessary and when most appropriate.

Patients wishing to be seen urgently may need to be seen by another doctor within the practice, rather than their usual doctor.

Weekend, early morning and late evening appointments

We do also offer some GP appointments on Saturday mornings, weekday early mornings (from 07:30) and late evenings (after 18:30) as we realise that it is sometimes not possible to attend at other times. Please do enquire about such options when booking an appointment with the receptionists. We can also arrange for our patients to be seen on Sundays but appointments are very limited.

Unfortunately the number of patients failing to attend these appointments is disproportionately high therefore patients who fail to attend appointments during these times, or cancel when it is too late to offer the appointment to another patient (ie. with less than 24 hours’ notice), will not be offered any further Early Morning, Late Evening or Saturday appointments for 3 months.

Improved access

Online appointment booking

We also have a number of GP appointments each day which are available for booking both by phone and online. You need to be registered to use the online booking service. Please click here to login or to register. For patients under 16 years old wishing to register, please see this policy document.

Please do not use the online booking service for baby checks, postnatal checks, implant fitting or for any other reason that may require more than a 10 minute appointment. If in doubt, please contact reception !

We do not currently have the facility for booking nurse appointments online, as it is difficult to ensure that the appointment you would be given would be with the appropriate nurse and for the appropriate appointment duration. We will be looking at this more in the future.

Practice Nurses

In a number of cases it might be worth considering an appointment with a practice nurse rather than a doctor. Practice nurses are qualified to deal with many ailments and you may be seen more quickly.

Telephone Advice

Telephone consultations are also available with a doctor or nursing staff within surgery hours.

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else. The easiest way to cancel an appointment is by using the online service.
